IN DECEMBER 2016, RESTAURANT AGNES OPENED IT'S DOORS AT KUNGSHOLMEN IN STOCKHOLM. THE CONCEPT FOR THE RESTAURANT AGNES WAS MUCH INSPIRED BY SWEDISH ARTIST LARS ENGLUND. THE ORGANIC GLASS FIBRE LAMPS IN THE CEILING ARE ACTUALLY MADE USING THE SAME MOULD AS ENGLUND DID IN THE 70'S FOR THE PANELS ON POLISHUSET, WHICH IS LOCATED CLOSE TO THE RESTAURANT. ALSO THE PATTERN ON THE FLOOR IS INSPIRED BY AN ENAMEL FACADE THAT ENGLUND MADE IN THE 60'S. OTHER ARTISTS ALSO INVOLVED IN THE PROJECT ARE ILJA KARILAMPI AND SIMON MULLAN. THULE IS ONE OF BAHNHOF'S OFFICES IN CENTRAL STOCKHOLM. IN THIS PROJECT THE IDEA HAS BEEN TO CREATE A CLEAR CONTRAST BETWEEN CALM OFFICE SPACES AND EXPRESSIVE SHARED SPACES. THE LIGHTNING HAS PLAYED AN IMPORTANT ROLL IN THIS PROJECT, AS THE SPACE IS BELOW GROUND LEVEL AND THEREFORE CANNOT ACCESS ANY DAYLIGHT. IT WAS AWARDED WITH THE SWEDISH LIGHT PRICE 2012.
