the AESTHETICS of the building gets its influences form brutalism and SCIENCE fiction. the metal mesh FACADE creates a MOIRÉ effect as you pass the building, a digital PHENOMENA in i PHYSICAL form. the data center recovers the heat that the hardware produces and returns it to the heating system of the city. the site is located about 200 meters from Fortum's new biofuel heating plant. the plant powers the data center which also recycles the waste energy which can heat at least 20.000 dwellings.
