Name: GASKLOCKA 1 - SERVER HALL / CONCERT HALL

LOCATION: NORRA DJURGÅRDSSTADEN, STOCKHOLM, SWEDEN

AREA: 10 000 sqm

COMPLETION YEAR: 2013

CLIENT: Bahnhof AB

Study for Bahnhof AB. The creation of a new server hall and concert hall combines a public and a private program in Ferdinand Boberg's beautiful gasholder, Gasklocka 1, from 1893. The extrernal structure is left entirely untouched and the new programs are fitted inside with its own loadbearing structure. A slit in the inserted structure allows for the full drama of the height, the existing structure and the glas floor concert hall at the top to be experienced directly from the entrance. LOCATION: GÄRDET, STOCKHOLM, SWEDEN

AREA: 2.000 sqm

COMPLETION YEAR: 2015

CLIENT: Tekniska museet

The office recently won a competition for a new Science center for the Museum of technical sciences in Stockholm. The competition entry envisioned a fun and inspiring environment meant to arouse curiosity and the will to explore and learn more about the brain and its processes. The space is conceptually conceived as the two hemispheres of the brain and brought into physical form through two very different main exhibition volumes - one strict and logical and the other soft, flowing and in constant flux. The project is ongoing and will open in early 2015.

Competition entry for an adaptable system of pavilions, meant to be used for many different types of programs throughout the city. The basic module is a faceted 8 sqm structure inspired by the huge blocks of stone that were moved about by the inland ice and can now be found scattered all over the swedish landscape. Thanks to the asymmetrical facets immense diversity can be achieved when several modules are combined into a larger structure, even though just one module is repeated and rotated.
